2. Marina Layout and Points of Interest
When checking into the marina, boaters are introduced to the Wiz application. By scanning a QR code, they download the app and, within just a few minutes, become familiar with basic safety procedures, the marina layout, and the incident reporting process.
At any time, their smartphones provide instant access to safety instructions, evacuation routes, and the designated assembly point, enabling them to navigate quickly and respond effectively in the event of an emergency.
3. Risk Occurence and Digital Incident Reporting
A technical malfunction occurs on one of the charter vessels, causing a large amount of dense smoke. The smoke rapidly spreads from the vessel to neighboring boats, and due to poor visibility and nighttime conditions, boaters lose their sense of direction and are unsure which route is safe to leave the affected area.
Although the fire has not yet spread to nearby vessels, the smoke poses a serious threat to people's safety and makes an organized evacuation of the marina significantly more difficult.
Using the Wiz mobile application, they report the fire with a single tap and attach a photo of the incident.
4. Alert and Rapid Response
The alert is immediately received by the marina's duty officer (reception). The application automatically provides the exact vessel location (via GPS, regardless of whether the boat is in the marina or at sea), the type of incident, and a photo of the event.
Based on the received information and visual confirmation, the responsible marina staff can immediately assess the severity of the situation and, if necessary, activate the fire department, emergency medical services, the Harbour Master's Office, and other emergency response teams.
5. Digital Evacuation Management
As the smoke spreads, the usual evacuation routes are no longer safe or sufficiently visible. Safewiz LED guidance dynamically directs people toward the safest available exit and the predefined assembly point while avoiding the smoke-affected area.
